From Install to First Pizza in Just Hours

One of the great things about a PizzaMaster oven is we can get it in anywhere. Double doors and easy access to the kitchen is great but if not, no problem. PizzaMaster ovens can be disassembled prior to our arrival and then each deck can be carried past small accessways and re-assembled in its place.

Another great thing is once the oven is installed and hooked up you’re only one hour way from your first pizza. Something our friends at Billy Bricks St. Charles were eager to prove. Our truck pulled up a little before 10am and we were eating pizza for lunch around 1pm!

This particular install was for a PM 832 which is a two deck oven with internal dimensions of 48” W x 32” D. Externally, the oven is about 40” deep which did not fit through kitchen door. However, if you lay the oven on its back it is only 32” deep which fits through almost all standard doorways. So that is what we did. Once past the kitchen door we rotated onto a lift, raised it up, attached the legs, and pushed it into place. It fit perfectly in Billy Bricks’ narrow kitchen.

Ready for action, Billy Bricks had their outlets pre-installed on the wall and their electrician on site for final hookups. From there, the only thing left to do was the initial burn-off. This is not a stone curing process. It’s a simple one-hour burn at 650F to burn away the factory oil on the steel components.

With the burn-off complete, the guys at Billy Bricks whipped up a pizza in time for lunch. That means we went from arrival to pizza in just a few hours of work! So if you’re looking to replace your existing oven with a PizzaMaster, chances are you won’t even have to close or miss a service.

As always, I checked back in a few months later after Billy Bricks was officially open. Needless to say, based on the picture below, that they are DIALED IN! Congrats and thank you to the entire Billy Bricks team! Great job.
